Nicholas D. Grimes joined McCormick Law Firm in January of 2025. Nick is a native of Williamsport, Pennsylvania where he currently resides with his wife and two children.
Prior to joining McCormick Law Firm, Nick spent more than a decade working in local government management roles with the City of Williamsport and Keystone Central School District, gaining extensive experience in municipal and school district administration and tax collection. He regularly gives CLE and CPE presentations on local tax topics.
Mr. Grimes earned his undergraduate degree from Lycoming College and his Juris Doctor from Widener Commonwealth Law School, where he was named class valedictorian. Nick graduated summa cum laude from Widener and received a pro bono distinction award, the Legal Research and Writing Award, as well as certificates in business advising, legislation, and constitutional/administrative law. At Widener Law School, Nick served on law review where he had two student articles chosen for publication by his peers. He was also chosen by the Dean to serve on the Dean’s Advisory Council. As a student, Nick competed in the Thurgood Marshall Moot Court Competition where he advanced to the round of 16, and the ABA Section of Taxation Annual Law Student Tax Challenge, finishing as a national semi-finalist. Nick was invited by the ABA to present at their midyear meeting in San Diego.
Mr. Grimes currently volunteers as a coach with Williamsport Area Little League and has previously served in advisory board positions with the Williamsport Salvation Army, the Covation Center, and the West End Christian Community Center.
