About the Role
The Business Manager plays a vital role in firm leadership—ensuring efficient daily operations, managing staff and finances, and supporting long-term strategy. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can balance hands-on operational management. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee firm operations, including finance, human resources, and administration.
- Manage accounting functions such as accounts receivable/billing, accounts payable, escrow/trust funds, payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting in coordination with the firm’s bookkeeper and outside accountant.
- Supervise and support staff, ensuring a collaborative and professional workplace.
- Coordinate with the firm’s IT vendor on technology troubleshooting, upgrades, and cybersecurity initiatives.
- Administer firm benefits, insurance renewals, and 401(k) plan operations.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and professional license renewals.
- Support client and business development efforts as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field.
- Management experience, professional services environment preferred.
- Strong financial management skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion and professionalism.
